The signing sounded incredible thanks to the legendary Wollongong Harmony Chorus and I loved how this Illawarra couple personalised every moment of their wedding. Plus a private four part a Cappella concert for the lucky guests after the ceremony, where the bride join in. I love music.

A fuss free wedding with loads of personality🥰
The bride and bridesmaid paddle boarded into the Callala Bay cove beach for the surprised starter of the wedding ceremony.

Congratulations Jordan and Kim, hitched at high tide.

I loved how a fuss free wedding ceremony still has lots of personality including Labrador Reggie, the ring bearer.

I arrived with the rake, the umbrellas, the table, chairs, and helped the dads and groom set up the arbour and prep the ceremony space.

Plan B doesn’t change the meaning. It protects the magic. And that is what we did at a recent wedding, we waited 50 minutes for the storm to pass and then it was blue skies.

I don’t do weddings in the rain. I’ll absolutely marry you in a paddock, on a clifftop, at the beach but I don’t do weddings in the rain. ☔️😜

When the Valentine’s Days wedding ceremony takes a turn, you pivot with heart. It certainly looked different from the original personalise co presented, creative wedding ceremony for 80 guests on the surf club balcony to an intimate legals only wedding ceremony, with some personal touches, at a beachside cabin today.

When one partner became unwell earlier in the week, we adjusted the style and location but not the meaning. Because at the end of the day, it’s about saying “I choose you”. With this favourite processional song too!!

Wedding aesthetic inspiration. Bryan and Sandra’s wedding day was designed to feel completely immersed in nature.

Their outdoor wedding ceremony, canapés, reception and dance floor all unfolded in one stunning location, surrounded by Australian bush, a flowing river and in parts the soundtrack of birdsong. It was a perfect example of how a relaxed, nature-inspired wedding can be achieved without excess or overwhelm.

With the natural landscape doing most of the styling, the aesthetics were effortlessly beautiful, enhanced by thoughtful, personal touches that reflected Bryan and Sandra perfectly. I was impressed how this beautifully styled outdoor wedding felt calm, authentic and wonderfully relaxed 💛 proof that when nature sets the scene, everything else falls into place.

As a marriage celebrant, my role isn’t to rush people past what’s heavy. It’s to help carry the weight, be steady, present, not daunted.

How important hand expressions are inside the wedding ceremony. We take it for granted. In wedding ceremonies our hands symbolise connection, protection, direction, strength, love, promises and affection.

Holding hands during the vows, hands that tell a story, hand directions to create an aisle, hands to sign, hands that wipe away the tears of joy, hands to assure and affirm, the hand to accept the ring, hands to draw the names of the witnesses from the champagne bucket, hands that hold you during the drop kiss, the hands that clap and shower you, hands that hug you, hands that pass the margaritas, and the hand that waves a fond goodbye.
